Ingredients
- 2 c all purpose flour
- 1/3 c sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8 tbsp butter
- 1/2 c raisins
- 1/2 c sour cream or yogurt
- 1 large egg
Directions

Preheat oven to 400F.

In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Use a pastry blender to cut in butter.

Add raisins.

Whisk yogurt and egg together until smooth.

Add to dry ingredients and mix until soft dough forms.

Pat or roll out on floured surface Ina circle about 8" in diameter and 3/4" thick.

Sprinkle with 1 tbsp sugar (optional).

Cut unto 8 wedges.

Place on baking sheet (preferably lined with parchment paper) about 1" apart.

Bake 15-17 minutes until golden brown.

For orange cranberry-substitute dried cranberries for raisins and add a generous tsp orange zest.

For lemon blueberry-use dried blueberries and lemon zest
