Ingredients
- 3 pkgs (3 oz each) Ramen noodles
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp grated orange zest
Directions

Line cookie sheet with wax paper.

Place the uncooked noodles in a large bowl. Break up the noodles into small pieces (1/2 inch or smaller) with fingers or a wooden spoon. Add almonds to the bowl.

In a large skillet set over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the noodle mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantlly, for about 5 mins, or until the noodles and almonds just begin to brown. Transfer mixture from skillet back to large bowl; add the orange zest, stirring to combine. Cool slightly.

In a medium, uncovered, microwave safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips on medium-high ( 70 percent power) for 1 min; stir. Microwave at additional 10-15 second intervals, stirring just until chocolate is melted. Pour melted chocolate over noodle mixture in bowl. Toss until noodle mixture is completely coated.

Quickly drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into mounds onto wax paper (mixture will appear loose, but will set as it cools). Let stand for 45-60 mins. Store in covered container between layers of wax paper.

Prepare as above, but substitute lime zest for orange zest.

Butter Pecan Cookie Clusters

Prepare as directed above, but omit the orange zest. Use chopped pecans in place of almond and add 1/4 tsp vanilla extract to the melted white chocolate before adding the ramen noodle mixture.
