Traditional Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- Cake:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 c shortening/butter
- 1-1/2 c milk
- 2 eggs
- Topping:
- 2/3 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 6 T firm butter.
Directions

at oven to 375. Grease an 8 by 8 pan.

Blend all ingredients except topping, beat well for 30 seconds. Spread in pan.

Combine topping ingredients in separate bowl. Mix until crumbly.

Sprinkle topping over batter. Bake 30-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
