Cauliflower and Parmesan Macaroni

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tbsp salt
- 2 cups macaroni
- 1 head cauliflower, florets separated
- 1 cup half-and-half cream
- 2 cups finely grated Parmesan
Directions

Bring a large pot of water to a boil (with a steamer compartment on top).

Add salt and cook pasta until tender while steaming cauliflower over the boiling water.

Transfer the pasta to a bowl and the cauliflower to a blender.

eat oven to 400.

Puree cauliflower with the half-and-half cream until smooth.

Add to the pasta along with 1 3/4 cups Parmesan; combine thoroughly.

Pour into a casserole dish and sprinkle with the rest of the Parmesan.

Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove foil and bake for 5 more minutes until brown on top.
