Tangy Slow Cooker Beef Brisket

I haven’t tried this yet, but it sounds yummy.

Ingredients
- 1 beef brisket, about 5 pounds
- 1-15 oz. tomato sauce
- 1/3 C. red wine vinegar
- 2 T. brown sugar
- 2 T. liquid smoke
- 1/2 C. soy sauce
- 2 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 C. barbecue sauce
- Cayenne pepper or hot sauce, to taste
- 1/3 C. light or dark corn syrup
- 1 T. garlic powder
- 1 T. dry mustard
- 6 oz. lemon-lime soft drink, or ginger ale
Directions

Trim brisket of all visible fat; place in slow cooker.

In a medium-size bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour over brisket.

Cook on high heat for 2 hours, or until simmering. Turn heat to low and cook for 7 to 9 hours.
