Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 11/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Dash of red pepper
- Nuts (whole pecans, almonds or cashews)
Directions

Allow cheese to reach room temperature. Work all ingredients

together. Form into a log roll, about 1 inch in diameter, wrap in

wax paper. Store in refrigerator until ready to use. Will store for
-
a week or more. Slice into half-inch rounds. Bake at 400°F for 5

minutes or a little longer. A nut may be pressed into the center
-
before baking.
