Truffles

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup cocoa (European)
  • 2 1/2 cups Confectioner's sugar
  • /2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
  • 3 1/2 dozen blanched and toasted almonds

Directions

  1. Melt butter, stir in cocoa.

  2. Cool.

  3. Combine cocoa and sugar; add cream, vanilla and almond, blend well.

  4. Chill till firm.

  5. Shape filling around almond.

  6. Roll in confectioner’s sugar.

  7. Cover and chill.
