Slow-cooker chicken n’ dumplings

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves or thighs
  • 2 T butter
  • 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 packages refrigerated biscuit dough, or homemade biscuit dough, torn into small pieces
  • 1 t cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chicken broth (about 1 cup)

Directions

  1. Season chicken with cumin, salt and pepper.

  2. Place chicken, butter, soup, and onion in slow cooker and fill with enough chicken broth to cover.

  3. Cook for 3 hours on high or about 5 hours on low. About 90 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook on high until the dough is no longer raw in the center.
