STRAWBERRY MOUSSE CAKE

Serves 12 people

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled
  • 1 pkg. Strawberry jello powder (85 g)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 pkg. lady fingers (85 g)
  • 1 env. dream whip
  • 2 ehh whites
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar

Directions

  1. Crush and strain strawberries, measuring juice.

  2. Reserve crushed fruit.

  3. Add water to juice to make a cup.

  4. Dissolve jelly powder in boiling water.Add measured liqud and chill until slightly thickened.

  5. Line sides ansd bottom of 9 " springform pan with lady fingers.

  6. Spoon crushed strawberries onto bottom of pan.

  7. Beat slightly thickened jelly until foamy.Prepare dessert topping and blend into jelly mixture.

  8. Beat egg whites stiff but not dry, adding icing sugar 2 tbsp. at a time.and continue beating until peaks form.

  9. Gently beat egg whits into jelly mixture.

  10. Pour over starberries in pan.

  11. Chill 8 hrs. or overnight.
