Emily’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 cups and 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons DARK brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (12oz package)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Place eggs in a bowl of warm water.

Melt butter in microwave for 1 minute.

Add sugars and melted butter to mixing bowl. Wait 5 minutes.

Add shortening and cream for 2 minutes.

Add vanilla. Add eggs one at a time. Wait for 5 minutes.

While waiting in separate bowl combine first five ingredients.

Slowly add dry ingredients to sugar, eggs, and butter mixture.

Mix until just combined. Then stir in chocolate chips.

. Place parchment paper on cookie sheets. Place rounded tablespoons of dough on paper.

. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until set. Remove from oven and wait for 2 minutes. Enjoy.
