Texas Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup margerine
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl.

  2. In saucepan combine buter, oil, and water.

  3. Bring to boil.

  4. When melted pour over dry ingredients.

  5. Add eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla.

  6. Mix well and pour into greased sheet pan.

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

  8. Top with Nancy’s never fail frosting.
