Grandpa’s Favorite Chocolate Cake

Serves 18 people
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 squares melted chocolate
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon water
Directions

Cream sugar and crisco.

Mix in eggs.

Alternate adding flour and cold water.

Mix in chocolate, salt, and vanilla thoroughly.

Combine baking soda and teaspoon of water.

Combine with other mixture.

Stir well.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

Cool.

Top with Never Fail White Frosting.
