Honey Wheat Oatmeal Bread

Bread machine makes dough and oven bakes.

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 tsp (approx 1 packet)active dry yeast
- 1 3/4 cups lukewarm water
- 3 tbsp. honey
- 3 cups King Arthur Special for Machines
- 1 cup King Arthur Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 cup rolled oats (old fashioned oats are best)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter or margerine

Bread Macine Instructions:

Place all the ingredients into the pan of your breadmaker, program the machine for manual or dough and press start. When machine completes it’s cycle, continue at * below.

Mixer/Food Processor Instructions:

In the bowl of your mixer or processor, dissolve the yeast and honey in the warm water, Add the flours, oatmeal, salt and butter. Using a mixer, mix for 2 minutes, switch to the dough hook, then knead for 10 minutes. Using a processor, process for 90 seconds. Tranfer the dough to a lightly b=greased bowl, cover it, and allow it to rise for 1 hour, or till doubled in bulk.

- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased 9 × 5 inch bread pan. Lightly cover the dough and allow it to rise for 45 minutes or until it’s risen 1 to 2 inches over the top of the pan.

Bake the bread ina preheated 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes, or until it tests done (it’s internal temperature will read 190degrees F on an instant read thermometer).

Remove the bread from the pan and cool it on a wire rack.
