Foolproof Pie Crust

This recipe makes four 9" crusts and freezes well unbaked.

Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1-3/4 cups shortening
- 1 T. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 T. vinegar, white
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

Preheat oven to 450 – bake 12-15 minutes

In mixing bowl, combine flour, shortening, sugar and salt.

Add vinegar, egg and water.

Mix lightly with fork or dough mixer.

Form into smooth ball & chill 15 minutes

Divide into 4 equal balls.

Roll out on generously floured pastry cloth.

Use 9" pie dish, fluting the edging as desired.

Prick with fork several times in bottom and sides of pie dish.
