Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 6 Medium potatoes
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • onion thinly sliced
  • grated cheese
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cook potatoes, cool and peel, cut in slices

  2. Melt butter in saucepan, add salt & pepper

  3. Take off stove, add flour

  4. Put back on stove and stir just till it bubbles

  5. Take off stove and add milk slowly

  6. Put back on stove until it thickens

  7. Add grated cheese

  8. Layer in greased dish, starting with sauce, potatoes and onions
