Trailside Oatmeal Cookies

Chewy and yummy cookie that’s mostly oatmeal. Instead of or in addition to raisins, try dried cranberries and/or cherries.

Ingredients
- 1-3/4 c flour
- 1 t baking sode
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 c butter
- 1/2 c chunk-style peanut butter
- 1 c granulated sugar
- 1 c packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c milk
- 1 t vanilla
- 2-1/2 c uncooked rolled oats
- 1/2 c semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c raisins or dried cranberries (or mixture of both)
Directions

Stir together flour, soda and salt; set aside.

In large bowl or mixer, beat butter, peanut butter and sugars until creamy. Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla.

Stir in flour mixture, then oats, chocolate pieces and raisins.

This dough is very thick! I recommend a heavy-duty mixer.

Drop onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake 350 for 15 minutes or until done.

Makes 42 cookies.
