Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup cream or evaporated milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon paprika
- 1 pint bulk or quick frozen oysters and their liquor
- 5 to 6 slices buttered toast

Melt the butter or margarine in a saucepan, blend in the flour, slowly add the milk, stir and simmer until the mixture thickens. Add the cream or evaporated milk, salt, paprika, the oysters and their liquor. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes after the oysters have been added. Serve on the toast.
