Oven Cornbread

You can substitute butter with vegetable spread.

Ingredients
- 1 c flour
- 1 c cornmeal
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 c milk
- 1 egg beaten well
- 1/4 c melted butter
Directions

Sift flour, cornmeal, salt, & baking powder.

Stir in milk. (quantity needed will vary a little. batter should be on the thin side.)

Stir in the well beaten egg.

Beat briskly for a couple minutes.

Stir in the melted butter.

Bake in a moderate to hot oven at 275 to 300 degrees.
