Crispy Chewy Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 c all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 c semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.

  3. Sift together the flour, baking soda, & salt.

  4. Set aside.

  5. In a medium bowl cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, & white sugar until well blended.

  6. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light & creamy.

  7. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended.

  8. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a spoon.

  9. Drop cookie dough a tbsp at a time at a time onto prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.

  10. Bake.

  11. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool.
