Naval Brown Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup stone ground polenta
  • 2 cups rye flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. Kosher salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 5 eggs

Directions

  1. Grease cans with butter.

  2. Mix all of the above. Bake at 350 or until golden brown.
