Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup cream whipped
- Peaches or strawberries

tter a 9" pie plate. Set oven to 275.

Beat until stiff the egg whites, salt and cream of tartar.

Beat in a spoonful at a time sugar, vanilla. Spread in the pan, having the edges higher to make a rim. Bake until dry and firm to the touch but not brown. (about 1 hour) Turn off the heat and cool in oven with the door open.

Spread with 1/2 cup whipped cream

Let stand several hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Cover with strawberries or peaches.
