Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 (16-ounce) jars salsa
- 1 (15-ounce) can refried beans
- 1 1/2 cups low-fat sour cream
- 2 cups plus 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions

Brown the beef in a medium-sized skillet

Drain off the grease

add salt, chili powder, cayenne, and garlic

Cook for 2 more minutes

In your slow cooker, combine the beef mixture with the salsa, refried beans, sour cream, and 2 cups of the cheddar cheese

Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours

Fifteen minutes before serving, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top

Keep the cover off and continue cooking on low to keep the bean dip warm

Serve with tortilla chips
