Hadden Pie Crust

This is the best pie crust! Great for pot pies also!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c lard
  • 1 egg (well beaten)
  • 1 tbs apple cider vinegar
  • 5 tbs cold water

Directions

  1. add flour and salt. Cut in lard into pea size pieces. Add egg, vinegar and water.

  2. This should make two pie crusts, top and bottom.

  3. bake time depends on what you are cooking. For rhubarb pie 350 for 1 hour

  4. for chicken pot pie 425 for 30 minutes
