Cauliflower with Almonds

Ingredients

  • 1 large Cauliflower
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 oz Butter
  • 2 oz flaked almonds

Directions

  1. Dissolve 2 tblspoon of salt in a bowl of cold water. Cut the coarse outer leaves from cauliflower and break the individual floret from central stem leaving a short stalk on each. Drop florets in salted water.

  2. Bring a large pan of salted water to boil, cook drained cauliflower for 5 – 8 minutes, over low heat. Drain it.

  3. Fry almonds in butter till deep brown. Put cauliflower in a dish and spoon over butter and almonds.
