Braised Shallots

Ingredients

  • 600 - 700g shallots
  • 2c stock
  • 50g butter
  • 1 stalk rosemary
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1T balsamic vinegar
  • 1T soft dark sugar firmly packed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180C

  2. Peel shallots – soak in boiling water for 5 min to make it easier

  3. Place all ingredients into a casserole dish and cover

  4. Bake 35 min

  5. Bake another 15 – 20 min uncovered
