Pumpkin Pie Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 ounce) solid pack puree pumpkin
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 can (12 ounce) evaporated milk
  • 1 package (18.5 ounce) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup corsely chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, eggs, sugars, pumpkin pie spice and evaporated milk. Mix well.

  3. Pour into an ungreased 9 × 13 baking pan.

  4. Sprinkle entire package of dry cake mix evenly over the batter in the pan. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top and sprinkle with pecans.

  5. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes, until top is set and bottom has the texture of pumpkin pie. Cool completely before cutting.
