Ingredients
- 1 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef or turkey
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large chopped onion
- 1 minced clove garlic
- 1 small head cabbage chopped
- 2 cans (14.5oz each diced tomatoes
- 1 can 8oz tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Directions

In large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add ground beef and onion and cook until beef is no longer pink and onion tender

Add garlic and continue cooking 1 minute.

Add cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, pepper and salt.

cook 3/4 cup rice and add to above

Put in casserole, cover and bake 1 hour

Stir and add 1/2 cup water if necessary
-
and cook 1 hour longer until cabbage is tender.
