Salmon Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 small can of salmon (or any canned fish or chicken)
  • 2 slices of bread, crusts removed
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Strain can of salmon (or whichever type of canned meat you are using)

  2. Cut crusts off of bread and tear into small pieces.

  3. Mix together with salmon in a bowl.

  4. Add a beaten egg to the mixture.

  5. Mix in the Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and onion powder.

  6. Divide batter into thirds, and form three patties.

  7. Put the butter into a hot skillet.

  8. When butter in melted, place salmon patties in skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side.

  9. Drain patties on paper towels.
