Basic Curd

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 1/4 Lb. Unsalted Butter (Room Temp)
  • 4 Extra Large Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Juice
  • 1/8 tsp. Kosher Salt

Directions

  1. Cream the butter and beat in the sugar.

  2. Add the eggs, one at a time, and then add the juice and salt. Mix until combined.

  3. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.

  4. It will thicken at about 170 degrees F.
