Beef & Rice Skillet

Can use venison steak or beef

Ingredients

  • 1 lb round steak
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 1 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 box UncBen's Brown/Wild Rice Mushroom
  • 1 green pepper, thin strips
  • cherry or grape tomatoes, cut in half

Directions

  1. Cut meat diagonally across grain into paper thin slices.

  2. Heat oil in skillet.

  3. Add meat & cook, stirring frequently, until no longer pink.

  4. Add water, salt, rice & seasoning packet.

  5. Stir and bring to a boil.

  6. Reduce heat, cover & simmer 20 minutes.

  7. Stir in green pepper strips.

  8. Remove from heat & let stand, covered for 5 minutes.

  9. Stir in tomatoes and serve.
