Homemade Colored Sugar

Ingredients

  • granulated sugar
  • food coloring

Directions

  1. Sprinkle about 1/2 cup of granulated sugar evenly over the bottom of a pie plate or metal bowl, add about 5 drops of food coloring, and mix thoroughly.

  2. To be sure the color is evenly distributed, push the sugar through a fine sieve. Spread the sugar on a pie plate or baking sheet and let dry.
