Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

eheat oven to 350.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

Cream butter and sugar til light and fluffy, add eggs one at a time, blending well after each. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients, in thirds, alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.

Divide batter evenly between cupcake liners. Bake 20 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
