Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Toor Dhal
- 1 Tomato, chopped
- 1 tsp Tamcom
- 1.5 tsp Saru powder
- 1/2 tsp Bella or Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- Dash of Hingu (Asafetida)
- 5 stalks cilantro
Directions

Place toor dhal in 3 cups water. Bring to a boil and simmer until dhal is tender. Add tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes. Add water, tamcon, sari pudi, bella and salt to taste. Boil for 5 minutes. In a small pan heat ghee, add mustard seeds, allow to pop. Add hinge, curry leaves. Add seasoning into saru. Add cilantro and turn off heat.
