Chicken Bacon Chowder

Ingredients
- 5 large chicken breasts
- 1-1/2 packages bacon
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 12 oz cream cheese
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 2/3 bag frozen pepper/onion mix
- 3 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp salt
- 1.5 tsp pepper
- 1.5 tsp basil
- 1.5 tsp thyme
- 3 tsp garlic powder
Directions

Turn crock pot on low and put in vegetables, chicken broth (keep back about 1/3 cup), butter, and salt; cover to begin warming

Cut bacon into small pieces and cook until very crisp; remove from pan to crock pot

Leave a small amount of bacon grease in the pan and use it to sear chicken on both sides

Remove chicken and cut into small chunks; use remaining chicken broth to de-glaze pan and pour it into the crock pot

Add all remaining ingredients to crock pot and stir well; cook on low for 6 hours

Stir well before serving as the soup will separate
