Butterscotch Cookies

Try using butter flavor Crisco.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 & 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 & 3/4 cup sifted cake flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • FROSTING:
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 stick margarine
  • milk as needed

Directions

  1. Cream Crisco and sugar together. Mix in remainder of ingredients.

  2. Drop on greased cookie sheet by teaspoon.

  3. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

  4. Frost while warm.

  5. FROSTING: Combine ingredients adding enough milk to make frosting thick enough to spread on top of cookies.

  6. Let air dry before storing.
