Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine softened or 1 cup butter flavor Crisco
  • 1 & 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 & 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions

  1. Cream margarine/Crisco, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs together.

  2. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt together.

  3. Add to creamed mixture.

  4. Chill for at least 30 minutes.

  5. Roll into balls about the size of a walnut.

  6. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.

  7. Roll balls of dough in cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  8. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 8 – 10 minutes.
