Ingredients
- 1 medium head cabbage
- salt & pepper to taste
- water as needed
- 3 tablespoons bacon drippings
- 1 cup half & half OR 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 2 tablespoon flour heaping
Directions

Cut up cabbage into 1-2 inch pieces.

Place in 2 quart pot. Season with salt, pepper and bacon drippings.

Add water to about 2/3 way up. Simmer, with lid on, until just barely tender, do not overcook.

Make a paste of flour and cream. If it is too thick, you can thin with milk or add more flour if too thin.

Pour into cooked cabbage and return to a boil, simmer for a few minutes to thicken up.
