Banana Pudding

Good old fashioned recipe.
Serve warm or chilled.
Personally I prefer the “Creamy Banana Pudding” recipe in this book.

Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs separated
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- -
- TOPPING:
- 2 additional tablespoons sugar
- pinch salt
- vanilla wafers as needed
- bananas as needed
Directions

Combine 1/3 cup sugar and flour in pan. Add milk and boil slowly until thick. Remove from heat.

Add 2 egg yolks, rapidly whisking in so you don’t have scrambled yolks. Add vanilla.

Layer into bowl with vanilla wafers and bananas.

TOPPING: Beat egg whites, gradually adding the 2 tablespoons sugar, until stiff peaks form.

Top off pudding with egg whites, brown slightly in oven.
