Fruit Pizza – Original Recipe

Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine melted
  • -
  • FILLING:
  • 1 8 ounce package cream cheese
  • 1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • -
  • TOPPING:
  • assorted fruit: peaches, mandarin orange segments, kiwi, strawberries, bananas, grapes, etc.
  • -
  • GLAZE:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Directions

  1. CRUST: Mix ingredients for crust and spread on a 14 inch pizza pan.

  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.

  3. FILLING: Mix ingredients for filling together and spread on cooled crust.

  4. TOPPING: Arrange sliced fresh fruit on top in a pretty design. You can use any combination of peaches, mandarin orange segments, kiwi, strawberries, bananas, grapes, etc.

  5. GLAZE: Blend ingredients for glaze together and cook until thick, about 5 minutes. Brush on fruit pizza.

  6. Chill well.
