Tiramisu Dessert Pizza

Instead of espresso you can use a combination of espresso and Kahlua…I love adding the Kahlua!

Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine melted
  • -
  • FILLING:
  • 12 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1/3 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 cup brewed espresso cooled
  • Kahlua (optional)
  • unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
  • confectioners sugar for dusting
  • fresh raspberries for garnish

Directions

  1. CRUST: Mix ingredients for crust and spread on a 14 inch pizza pan.

  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.

  3. FILLING: In a food processor or mixing bowl, whip the mascarpone cheese and confectioners sugar until smooth and creamy.

  4. Beat in the espresso and/or optional Kahlua. The mixture should be creamy and easy to spread at this point; if not, add a bit more espresso. Spread a thick layer of tiramisu filling over the baked pie crust.

  5. Dust the cheese liberally with cocoa powder, followed by a very light dusting of confectioners sugar to achieve a dappled effect just before serving.

  6. Fresh fruit such as raspberries can be arranged around the edge of the pizza as a garnish.
