Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 eggs or 1/2 cup egg beaters
- 2 cups sweetened applesauce
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1 3/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- nonstick spray
Directions

In a medium bowl, mix the sugar and margarine

Add the eggs and beat well

In a separate bowl, sift the dry ingredients together, and then add alternately with the applesauce to the egg mixture

Mix well

Stir in the nuts

Coat a 2 1/2-pound coffee can with cooking spray and pour the cake batter into the can

Bake in a covered slow cooker on high for approximately 3 1/2 hours, or until done
