If using frozen vegetables…ALWAYS rinse under tap water to remove frost and ice. Your vegetables will taste much better.

Try cooking frozen or fresh green beans in chicken broth or even season water with chicken bouillon cubes. All green beans taste much better with a little onion sauteed in bacon grease or margarine…then add canned, fresh or frozen beans.

Certain vegetables flavor will be enhanced by adding just a teaspoon or two of sugar. Those vegetables include canned and frozen corn, corn on cob, frozen and fresh green peas, frozen mixed vegetables, fresh sauteed yellow squash, fresh cabbage, carrots.
