Ingredients
- 1-pound box of ziti or penne pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 11/2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons green onions, cut on the diagonal
Directions

Cook the pasta in 3 quarts of boiling salted water until al dente, according to package directions. Drain and set aside while making the sauce.

In a large sauté pan, bring the heavy cream to a simmer.

Fold the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses into the cream and continue to fold and stir until the sauce is smooth and all the cheese has melted.

d the cooked pasta to the sauce, mix well and bring to a boil, add salt and pepper to taste, and spoon into a large serving dish. Top the mac ’n’ cheese with the shredded Parmesan and green onions. Serves 4 to 6.
