Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cream together butter, cream cheese and sugar

Beat in egg yolks, vanilla, and almond extracts

Add flour, baking soda and cream cheese of tartar

Stir well

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet

Sprinkle with sugar

Don’t flatten

Bake 12-14 minutes until tops are cracked and just turning light brown

Cool for one minute on cookie sheet before transferring to wax paper to cool completely

Yeilds 2 1/2 dozen

*Tip: You could omit the cream cheese and use 1 cup butter or margarine, but these are fabulous as is!
