Ingredients

• 1 quart fresh strawberries
• 2 c vanilla ice cream, softened
• 1 pkg (.3 oz) strawberry gelatin (not jello)
• 1/2 c boiling water
• 2 tsp lemon juice
• 2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled
• additional strawberries for garnish

Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl, mash strawberries; add ice cream

2. In a small bowl, dissolve gelatin in water; stir in lemon juice

3. Add to the strawberry mixture; mix well

4. Pour into 1 1/2 qt freezer container; cover and freeze overnight

5. Remove from freezer 15 min before serving

6. Spoon into glasses; add soda

7. Garnish with strawberries if desired
