Honey Pecan Triangles

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp plus 1/2 c butter, softened, divided (do not substitute)
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 c all purpose flour
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1/2 c whipping cream
  • 4 c chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Line a 13×9×2 in baking panwith foil; butter the foil with 2 tsp butter

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream remaining butter with brown sugar

  3. Add egg yolk; mix well

  4. Gradually add flour

  5. Press into prepared pan

  6. Bake at 350 for 15 min or until golden brown

  7. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter and honey

  8. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 3 min

  9. Remove from the heat; stir in cream and pecans

  10. Pour over crust

  11. Bake for 30 min or until hot and bubbly

  12. Cool completely on wire rack

  13. Use foil to lift the bars out of the pan and place on a cutting board

  14. Carefully remove foil

  15. Cut into 24 bars; cut each half diagonally
