Hungry Jack Casserole

This recipe calls for cheese on top, but I’ve made it before without for Caleb. You could leave a portion free from cheese or leave the whole thing free from cheese and let people add it later if they want it.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 can pork and beans
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp onion flakes
  • 6-9 biscuits
  • 2 cups shredded cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Brown ground beef and drain if necessary.

  3. Add next 5 ingredients and heat until bubbly.

  4. Pour into a greased/sprayed 9×13 baking dish.

  5. Peel biscuits in half and lay across top. Sprinkle with cheese.

  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until casserole is bubbly and biscuits are done.
