Cement Icing, aka, Royal Icing

Dries hard but edible.

Ingredients

  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1 Teaspoon Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 3 cups of powdered sugar

Directions

  1. With an electric mixer, beat together until foamy 2 egg whites. 2 tsp of water, and 1/2 tsp of cream of tartar.

  2. Once foamy, gradually add in 3 cups of sifted powdered, beating constantly until stiff.

  3. This dries quickly so you must keep covered while working with. You can stir in any color you like.

  4. Makes 1 1/2 cup.
