Pork Roast w/ apples & sage

Cook time: 420 minutes
Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 4 tsp. chopped fresh sage
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. kosher garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 3/4 LB boneless pork loin roast, trimmed
  • 12 oz. pork gravy or bistro au jus (Heinz)
  • 4 medium Gala apples

Directions

  1. Mix sage, garlic, salt & pepper. Put on pork.

  2. Place gravy in slow cooker.

  3. Core 2 apples & coarsely chop. Add to gravy.

  4. Place pork on top.

  5. Cover & cook on low 5-7 hours.

  6. Core remaining apples into 8 wedges.

  7. Add to slow cooker for last hour of cooking.

  8. Remove pork & apple wedges. Let stand.

  9. Remove chopped apples. Puree apple.

  10. Slice pork.

  11. Serve w/ apple wedges and apple gravy.
