Fruit and Nut Loaves

One to eat fresh, second one to freeze.

Ingredients
- 1 C dates, chopped
- 1 C raisins
- 1/2 C chopped nuts
- 3/4 C sugar
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 T butter
- 1 C boiling water
- 2 C flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

In bowl, pour boiling water over first 6 ingredients.

Add flour, salt and egg.

Mix until combined.

Bake in 2 greased, round ‘Nut Loaf’ tins at 180oC, approx 40 minutes.
